The V-800 is a direct-drive unit powered by the vehicle's own engine. A dedicated Thermo King QP21 refrigeration compressor is belt-mounted to the engine. The V-800 is front-wall mounted and available in 1- and 2-temperature configurations.

Direct-drive technology — powered by the vehicle

The V-Series delivers flexible, reliable temperature control for vans and trucks. On the road the compressor is powered by the vehicle's engine, and when stationary the electric stand-by takes over — one unit, two power sources, no on-board diesel engine. The result is low weight, a compact profile and best-in-class operating costs.

Swash plate compressor

A new swash plate compressor is engineered for ease of installation and combined with the DSR III controller it delivers best-in-class performance in both cooling and heating modes. A wide range of drive kits adapts the unit smoothly to different vehicle sizes.

Zone Priority — intelligent zone control

Zone Priority prioritises cooling or heating in the chosen compartment, accelerating pulldown by up to 40 %. The driver can select automatic, manual or disabled — the same unit serves multi-temperature distribution without compromise.

A sustainable alternative to diesel

Powered by the vehicle's engine, the V-Series emits no CO₂, NOx or particulates from the unit itself. Fuel consumption is up to 54 % lower and maintenance costs up to 33 % lower than an equivalent diesel unit. V-Series is compatible with CNG, LNG and biodiesel vehicles and is available in 12 V or 24 V configurations for trucks from 3.5 t to 25 t.
