6-Axle Sets
A 4-axle 8x4 base vehicle can be converted into a 6-axle configuration by adding two electro-hydraulically steered additional axles — one in front of and one behind the drive axle.
The additional axles are usually air-suspended and lift-able. Maximum axle loads are 10 or 13 tonnes depending on the configuration.
