Company

The company was founded by Veikko Tunturi under the name V. Tunturin Autoliike Oy in 1959. From the very beginning, the company's line of business was the modification of trucks and the construction and repair of trailers.

In the early 1980s, the company developed its own product: additional axle assemblies for trucks. As road traffic regulations changed, it became necessary to install additional axles on trucks to gain extra load capacity. VTA developed its own additional-axle structures, the installation of which is still a significant part of the company's operations today. In addition to vehicles delivered within Finland, additional axles are also installed on trucks bound for Sweden, Norway and Switzerland.

In 1986, Motoral Oy acquired the company's entire share capital and the company joined the Motoral group. As a result, in the early 1990s the company's operations expanded into international technical import trade and the related marketing as well as service and repair activities. At the same time, the company's name was changed to VTA Tekniikka Oy.

The representation of Thermo King temperature control units came to the company in 1991, and the representation of Palfinger load handling equipment in 1993, as did Zepro tail lifts — now replaced by MBB tail lifts. Over the years, numerous new products have been added to all of the above product groups, as described on our product pages.

Truck structural modifications, additional-axle installations, and the marketing, installation, service and repair of the bodywork mentioned above now form VTA Tekniikka's operating environment. We carry out this work nationwide together with our partners.
