The UT-R 1400 is a Thermo King UT-Series undermount unit with its own diesel engine, providing single-temperature refrigeration for large cargo bodies and long-haul distribution. It is the most powerful undermount system in its class and recovers the set-point quickly after door openings. A redesigned enclosure that is 200 mm shorter reduces volume by 10 % and weight by 40 kg compared with the legacy unit, freeing up space on the chassis and inside the cargo box. The GreenTech engine is 100 % HVO-compatible and meets the strictest EU emission standards (Stage V). Also available with the Frigoblock hybrid kit, which cuts fuel consumption by up to 50 %.

The UT-R 1400 reaches the set-point quickly from ambient and recovers temperature rapidly after door openings. Smooth, precise temperature control creates ideal conditions for sensitive fresh products and extends shelf life — thanks to the highest cooling capacity in its class.

GreenTech engine and HVO compatibility

The GreenTech engine is one of the cleanest in the industry and meets the strictest EU standards (Stage V). Full 100 % HVO compatibility cuts CO₂ emissions by up to 90 % with no change to the maintenance schedule, and Cycle-Sentry stops the engine when refrigeration is not required — saving fuel and CO₂ by up to 80 %.

Frigoblock hybrid-ready

With the optional Frigoblock hybrid kit the unit can run on electricity generated by the truck engine while driving. This reduces fuel consumption by up to 50 % and lowers emissions — diesel drive remains available as a back-up when the engine is switched off.
