The UT-1000R is the medium-range undermount unit in the Thermo King UT-Series, with its own diesel engine and single-temperature refrigeration. It is designed for medium-sized cargo bodies and distribution transport, where an undermount unit frees up the front wall of the cargo box and simplifies the body build. The unit shares the redesigned, compact UT-Series enclosure: it is 40 kg lighter and 3 dB(A) quieter than its predecessor. The GreenTech engine is 100 % HVO-compatible and meets the strictest EU emission standards (Stage V). Also available with the Frigoblock hybrid kit, which cuts fuel consumption by up to 50 %.

The UT-1000R brings the benefits of the UT-Series to medium-sized cargo bodies. Mounted under the chassis, the unit frees up space at the front wall of the cargo box and behind the cab, and its lightweight design leaves more payload. Smooth, precise temperature control keeps fresh and frozen goods at the right temperature even with frequent delivery stops.

GreenTech engine and HVO compatibility

The GreenTech engine is one of the cleanest in the industry and meets the strictest EU standards (Stage V). Full 100 % HVO compatibility cuts CO₂ emissions by up to 90 % with no change to the maintenance schedule, and Cycle-Sentry stops the engine when refrigeration is not required — saving fuel and CO₂ by up to 80 %.

Frigoblock hybrid-ready

With the optional Frigoblock hybrid kit the unit can run on electricity generated by the truck engine while driving. This reduces fuel consumption by up to 50 % and lowers emissions — diesel drive remains available as a back-up when the engine is switched off.
